My product lab — building end-to-end to find where AI stops being useful and a person decides.
Blackray is my product lab. After Sift, I turned it into full-time work: a place to build products end-to-end and find out exactly where AI stops being useful and a person has to decide.
It started as something else. In 2025 we built a set of AI product management tools — research, prioritization, and roadmapping — on a simple thesis: any model can generate a PRD, but generative AI only becomes useful when it's grounded in the user's own context. So we designed the tools as discrete pieces powered by the docs and data the user already had.
The company changed shape after that. What stayed is the method: small vertical slices, shipped fast, judged in the open.
